Chapter 13 is the last chapter of Hebrews. Paul closes with final instructions and encouragements. Hebrews 12 ended with a call to offer acceptable service, and here in chapter 13, Paul gives practical ways for these believers to obey God and endure until the end in order to receive their inheritance reward. Paul offers encouragement to those who might be tempted to draw back from their faith because of hardship or persecution. He also reminds these believers of the privileges we gain by having access to the better sacrifice and the better high priest, Jesus. Paul ends his letter with a prayer for this group of believers and an encouragement to take heed of his words.
